noob question prolly..
i was just wondering what a lockpick did... I mean i bought factions and played for liek 2 months then stopped, now i just started again and i was wondering if a lockpick just opened chests, or how many uses it has, and does it oopen any chests?

A Lockpick can open any chest. Hard Mode chests can only be opened using one. Depending on the level of chest and your rank in Treasure Hunter and Lucky titles you will have a certain percent chance for the lockpick to not break.

Also, they technically aren't worth the money (from a statistical standpoint) if you don't have treasure hunter and luckly titles for low end chests (basically don't use them except for where chests cost 1000g each).

Hard mode: 10% chance to retain the lockpick after use. +3% for every lucky and treasure hunter title level.. |

And the inherent chance in normal mode isn't a flat 40%. It depends on how much the keys for the chest cost. |

True, if for some crazy mad reason you saw a Shing Jea chest and really wanted to use your lockpick on it you would have a much higher chance of retaining your lockpick than a 600g Kurzick chest.
